Important things to note...
See you tomorrow at 6:30pm at Showbox Sodo! Warm regards, QAE PTSA Auction Committee Dear Queen Anne Elementary Staff and Families,
I am pleased to let you know that an official offer for the position of Principal of Queen Anne Elementary School has been made to Ms. Janine Roy. Ms. Roy has tentatively accepted the offer for the position of principal pending the approval of her visa application. Ms. Roy’s tentative start date would be June 1, 2016. This will allow for some overlap with Ms. Amy McCue Jessee so that she can familiarize herself with the building and community before the summer break. Once her visa application is approved, an official announcement will be sent out from Dr. Nyland. I want to thank the interview team for their hard work and patience throughout this process. Sincerely, Sarah J. Pritchett Executive Director of Schools I Central Region Seattle Public Schools Work: 206-252-0150 sjpritchett@seattleschools.org Want to join a cool, one time volunteer opportunity to be part of our building design process?
We need ten parent volunteers to help with a ONE time focus group for our BEX Levy building design architects. The group will meet on Thursday, March 24 from 3pm- 4pm. Prior to coming, the architects ask that you come with index cards with your thoughts, hopes and dreams for the "new" school. Then, you will join their team to participate in a creative activity around visioning for our new school. If you are interested, please contact Jenny Lee, QAE PTSA Facilities Director, at facilities1@qaeptsa.org. Want a small part time job during the school day? We need a playground supervisor!
We are in need of additional playground supervisors at Queen Anne Elementary and would like to see if we have any parents, nannies or community members interested in this rewarding (yet modestly paid) position!
Come join art fun with Ms. Amsel on the next early release day, Wednesday, March 23rd!
RECYCLED ART SPRING PLANT MAKING Meet in the art room from 1:40pm. Pick up in the art room at 3:40pm. Please bring a recycled container; plastic, metal/tin, cans or interesting jars, or an old pot. We will be using these to build and create our own recycled plants in class. To register click on the following link: RECYCLED ART SPRING PLANT MAKING. $35 per child, 18 students max: Parent volunteers are welcome and will give a scholarship to student. Please bring checks to the workshop or give it to Ms. Arzani beforehand (drop off in art room). Please write checks to: Amanda Amsel or use Paypal: mandyamsel@gmail.com March Dates:

Are you wondering how you can contribute with one week left before the big night?
How about donating to the Wine Grab? If you have a nice bottle or two, contact Lauren Haley fundraising1@qaeptsa.org to drop off. Or even easier, place an order with Vin Wine! Carolyn will make sure to include a great bottle (or two) for you! Wondering what the auction is about? Want to leave the kids at home with your other half instead of figuring out a babysitter? Come be a part of the fun as a volunteer. We are looking for a few full time volunteers for that evening that can donate 3-5 hours. Sign up as an Admin or Silent Auction Closer on Sign Up Genius. Questions? Have limited hours? Contact Sandra Nanney (sandrasnanney@yahoo.com) to find a spot for you. We are so excited for our upcoming auction on March 11, 2016 at the Showbox SoDo. Our auciton committee has been working itrelessly to ensure that the evening is full of fun, wonderful food, and fabulous drinks. If you are unable to join us, but would still like to contribute to our fundraising efforts, please click here to make a 100% tax deductible donation. March Dates:
