Breakdancing 101 with Jesse Buckingham
In this class students will learn various age-appropriate breakdancing moves. Some moves we'll learn are the top-rock, six-step, freezes or stalls, swipes, and other floor moves. We'll also introduce moon walks, popping, waving, and maybe some locking. This class will be fun, challenging, and most importantly a very supportive learning environment for all students to try out breakdancing. Students will be encouraged to try all moves presented and take note of the ones they like and want to practice more. Towards the end of the session they'll pick their favorite moves, and with a little help, put them together in their own personal way and style.
Music will be "old school Hiphop" played through a turntable. There will also be opportunities for students to bring in their current favorite songs to play during the warm up and/or at our end of class practice time and games.
Jesse Buckingham is a QAE parent.
