Last week's events were historic, tumultuous and tragic. And our students pay attention. Our teacher's didn't shy away, but rather used the opportunity to engage students and given them an opportunity to share, learn and understand the power of this moment: together.
In fact, the efforts of one of our Kindergarten teachers - Priyanka Jayanthi - was just featured in The Seattle Times. We're so proud!
Ms. Jayanthi and Ms. Smith both pulled together some additional resources for talking with kids to help us all have these important conversations.
