QAE will have the Roots of Empathy program again this year, and we are looking for babies that were born in June or July of 2012 to be our ROE "tiny teachers."
Roots of Empathy is a classroom program that has shown dramatic effect in reducing levels of aggression among children by raising social/emotional competence. The program's aim is to increase empathy - the ability to understand another person's feelings. They do this by watching the baby’s growth over the school year.
To be a ROE baby, mom or dad would bring the baby to visit once a month (Oct-June) for about 30 minutes.
If you would like to participate or have further inquiries, please contact Meg Ferris, QAE mom & ROE Coordinator, at email@example.com.
