Fundraising

How the PTSA Raises Funds

The PTSA is able to support our school and community through the generosity of our families. The Board strives to limit the number of asks and is committed to being a good steward of collected funds. The PTSA holds fundraising events just three times a year.

Jog-A-Thon
Powered by our students by reaching out to our family and friends for pledges.

Explorer Fund Drive
Powered by our parents to help answer a call by our school, teachers and students.

Our Annual Auction
Powered by the whole community. A social evening that helps bring together our parent and teacher community to socialize and raise the dollars needed to fund this year's operating budget.

Your PTSA works with staff and teachers to determine what can most benefit our students that the school district is unable to provide. Check out our list below on how your YES helps our students.

SOUTHEAST SEATTLE SCHOOLS
FUNDRAISING ALLIANCE

At QAE, one of our five pillars is "We are concerned, confident and compassionate citizens of the world." We put this core value into action by sharing 10% of our annual fundraising income with the Southeast Seattle Schools Fundraising Alliance. As stated on the alliance's website:
"Funds raised by SESSFA are distributed among 17 SE Seattle public elementary and middle schools through a model that centers equity. We are pooling our collective efforts to raise funds for schools throughout our community, and focusing the most resources on schools that have the highest need."
