Volunteers are the lifeblood of Queen Anne Elementary! There are many ways you can help out at the school and with our community—there's something for every schedule and interest.
Your children's teachers may request classroom volunteers directly for help in the classroom or with field trips. The PTSA is run by volunteers and we're always looking for those interested in helping. See our list of positions on the PTSA page. We also organize community events and many other family activities.
To learn about volunteer opportunities, contact PTSA Volunteer Coordinator Team, Charu Midha and Oana Camelia Marin at [email protected]. You can also contact Karen Alvarez in the school office ([email protected]or 206-252-2480) to learn about other ways to help out. We're always looking for helping hands, no matter how much time you may have available!
Here's a few of the many ways you can help out:
Plan a fun event for our families!
Help the school with office work
Manage the PTSA website and online communications
Get involved in our Families of Color group
Serve on the PTSA board
Help out on the playground
Brainstorm our annual auction and other fundraising
Plan our Day of Code
Organize our parent volunteers by being the Volunteer Coordinator!
If you're volunteering at the school or on field trips, you'll need to complete the SPS Volunteering Check List. This can now be done completely online.
