This has been such an exciting week to share the enthusiasm and joy of QAE with the greater community. One thing I try to emphasize with students is that the Arts have the ability to move the hearts of our community. As we’ve caroled, sung at assemblies and practiced performance, we always take a moment to reflect on the good feeling we get when we know we’ve made someone’s day. I hope your students are feeling that now—the joy they’ve brought to thousands has been tangible, and is rippling all around the nation. This isn’t insignificant. The world needs more joy and positivity, and I’m honored to help that cause this week. I’m so proud to display the wonderful spirit and joy of QAE and the way the Arts bring out the best in us. It’s been remarkable to show off our amazing staff and students, who each are outstanding in what they bring to this community. I hope you’ve all been able to share in the magic of the moment, and who knows—maybe it’ll help us in our game on Sunday! Go Seahawks!
