QAE Annual Jog-A-Thon - Friday, October 9

9/24/2015

It’s Time to ROCK ’N’ RUN!!!!

QAE Jog-a-thon 2015-2016 is Friday, October 9th!
Our only kid-powered fundraising event for the year is here! Please help us make it a success!

Here’s how it works:
  • Students gather sponsorships from friends, family, and anyone who might want to help support QAE.
  • Students pledge to jog as many laps as they can around a course that will be set up on the school grounds.
  • On the afternoon of Friday, October 9th, every student at QAE, the teachers, staff, and a bunch of parent volunteers will be out on the course moving—there will be music, snacks & drinks, some friendly competition, prizes, and lots of fun and enthusiasm!
  • Every student who participates receives a QAE Jog-A-Thon T-shirt, plus the chance to win prizes, thanks to generous donations from community businesses.

Important Info:
  • Pledge form packets will be sent home this week. Donations should be collected up front and turned in, with your sponsor sheet, to your teacher.
  • Those students who collect sponsorships and turn in their forms before on or before Wednesday, October 7th will receive a Limited Edition QAE Water Bottle!!!!
  • Checks can be made out to “QAE PTSA.”  Your sponsors can also donate online via our website. (Please do not turn in cash.)
  • 100% of the donations will benefit Queen Anne Elementary students and are tax-deductible!

We love to have parents help with this event and do still need more volunteers if you are interested!
If you would like to volunteer or have any questions about the event, please email:

Kristi Barnes at kristi_barnes@comcast.net or Karen Lonergan at karenl@microsoft.com.

SPONSOR A JOG-A-THON RUNNER!

Thank you so much for your support of QAE!!

It's true! Registration is open! We have over 30 classes available for your before and after school needs! Debate, languages, drama, ballet, sports, LEGO, visual art...we've got a little bit of everything!

Enrolling in an Enrichment Program at QAE is simpler than ever before! We have an online registration system that allows you to sign up and pay directly from our website: qaeptsa.org/enrichment. Pay for a single class, multiple classes for one child, or multiple classes for multiple children all at the same location. Phew! No more checks! Unless you want to. We'll take your check. We mean it: sign up through the above link and pay by leaving a check in the office.

Interested in an enrichment program but need a scholarship? All programs offer needs-based financial aid. Please email enrichment@qaeptsa.org to secure a scholarship to any class for your child.

But don't hesitate: registration closes on Monday, September 28th! Register today!

Some of our classes currently have low enrollment. Did you already enroll for one of the following classes? Talk it up! Get your buddies in there! Did you mean to register...do it now!

Hey, you've made it this far...wanna volunteer? All after school programs this year will feature All-Clubs Recess. All students will check-in with a playground volunteer right after school and then have a full 20-minutes to shake off the school day and play before clubs begin. We need you to make this work! If you are a parent who is typically on the playground after school, please let us know if you would be willing to take attendance for clubs. It's easy: wear a safety vest and carry a clipboard!

Questions? Please email enrichment@qaeptsa.org.

Happy, enriching days to all!
