3/14/2018

The Online Auction is happening now! This week we'll be featuring student projects to highlight what our kids and parent volunteers have been working hard to present to our school community!

Today we're featuring two more class projects!

Ms. Jayanthi's third graders are taking orders for small canvas reproductions of their Iconic Seattle Skyline collaborative painting. You’ll get to see and bid on their full sized work on Auction night and order your small version today! Get the smaller version here:

Online Auction: Sunday Feature on Student Projects

3/11/2018

PictureWhat's in My Heart
The Online Auction is happening now! This week we'll be featuring student projects to highlight what our kids and parent volunteers have been working hard to present to our school community!

Today’s featured items have a little something for everyone!

If you are a Kindergarten family, please check out the What's in My Heart? Kindergarten grade-level photo book! This photo book captures QAE’s kindergarteners in sweet, candid shots, arranged by class. The grade-level “What’s In My Heart? What's in Your Heart” Project-Based Learning project was the inspiration for this book, capturing the heart of your child in photos and their own words.  This touching 8.5"x 8.5" photo book is available for order in the Online Auction (https://qae.schoolauction.net/auctio2018/catalog?show_id=197 or simply search for item number 807). Sign-ups are happening now and a sample will also be available at the event on Friday!

Ms Thibault’s second graders have lovingly curated a collage of Our Queen Anne Elementary, as it looks before our remodel. As a class they discussed what our community means to us, what it looks like, what the major changes will be, and what we’d like to remember. The photos the second graders took have been arranged in a 16x20 collage-style poster that’s perfect for framing. It’s a great piece of memorabilia for anyone at Queen Anne Elementary! Posters are available in the Online Auction (https://qae.schoolauction.net/auctio2018/catalog?show_id=243 or search for item number 701). Get yours now!

Two classes have created limited edition copies of their projects that can be enjoyed by the whole school! First, please enjoy a pack of notecards Ms Dickens’ students created while drawing from two of their project-based learning units, Communities and Whales, along with applying several artistic techniques learned in their art class at QAE and by studying local artists.  Students created whimsical and fun art pieces. The notecards are sold in packs of 12 and feature a selection of student art. (https://qae.schoolauction.net/auctio2018/catalog?show_id=246 or search for item number 706).

Ms Green’s class created Calm Down Jars and besides making their own personalized jar, many students made an extra to share! Order one for your own home today! Presented in a 7.5" plastic water bottle and made with love (find them at https://qae.schoolauction.net/auctio2018/catalog?show_id=181 or item number 800).

Last but not least...wine! Four classes have created individual art to be printed on the labels of a selection of 6 high-end wines from Northwest Cellars (which will be featured tomorrow!) and you can also  support our school with your purchase of a custom-designed wine bottle(s) featuring a label designed by one of our QAE parents, printed onto award-winning wine. This wine is available in Explorer White (a Chardonnay) or two Rocket Reds (A Merlot or Red Blend). Order now by searching for items 804, 805 and 806 and be sure and come by the tasting table on Auction night!
