A big shout out to our students, staff, volunteers and PTSA Technology Advisor, Julie Smith, for making the 3rd Annual Hour of Code Event a great success!
One of our K students summed it up so eloquently in Ms. Ward's Tweet! And check out this awesome article in Geekwire featuring local schools, including QAE! Click the post link to watch a slideshow of our students in action, enjoy! We are humbled and appreciative of the ongoing support and generosity from our parent community! Thank you to everyone who has made a donation to the Explorer Fund Drive!
The Importance of Your Donation QAE is educating our children to be compassionate, creative, and self-directed learners and the PTSA is here to help support that mission. The QAE PTSA raises funds to supplement what is NOT covered by the school district or the state. The district budget for QAE (page 120) covers salaries, benefits, and a very small discretionary fund for supplies. Without PTSA funding, your child's education would look very different. Our school community is committed to providing an exceptional education, and our fundraising efforts ensure that your child will benefit from:
If everyone contributes to the Explorer Fund Drive, we are confident we will raise the remaining $53,000 we need to raise by next Friday, December 18. Every dollar counts and will be put to good use! Donate to the Explorer Fund Drive today! Thank you for your support and generosity! QAE PTSA Ms. Ward's class is making a difference in their classroom community through a letter writing campaign. They have rallied together as writers with a common goal to replenish some of their everyday supplies (writing pens, smelly markers, pencils, marbles, paper, etc).
Check out a few of their convincing (and adorable) letters that have helped bring more supplies to the classroom. The QAE All School Chili Cook-Off is tomorrow night! If you plan on attending, please be sure to RSVP!
RSVP HERE! All those attending will be able to vote for tastiest Traditional and Non-tradtional Chili! What a yummy way to end a rainy week! It's that time of year, we send them to school all bundled up, they come home coatless. Please remember to check out the Lost and Found locations in BOTH buildings for any personal items. We have many great coats, scarves, gloves, lunch items and more.
These will be donated on December 19, 2015, before the Winter Break. Do you like organizing clothes? We would love your help keeping our Lost and Found areas organized and helping to find lost owners. Let us know in the office. Thank you from the office staff at Queen Anne Elementary! Calling all parent volunteers! Help is needed with the recycling and compost program in the cafeteria! If you have time during the week, please consider coming in to help our students clean up & sort their garbage into the correct bins.
