The Queen Anne Elementary community has a group of tickets to watch the Mariners take on the Rays on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 at 7:10 p.m. Enjoy a special outing with your friends and family! Plus we get discounts on tickets AND it's Nelson Cruz Funko Pop Night (wondering what a Funko Pop is?). When: Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 7:10 pm. Where: Our block of seats will be in the View Level (3rd) Deck at Safeco Field Cost: $18 per ticket. Regular price is $26 plus fees. Why: Enjoy an evening at the ballpark with your QAE friends. Flip Herndon, Associate Superintendent for Facilities and Operations for SPS, is speaking at the Uptown Alliance meeting, Tuesday, May 8 at 7pm at St. Paul’s Church, 15 W. Roy. People should enter the meeting room through the gate on Roy St., west of the main church entrance.
The Alliance has asked Flip to speak about the BEX V planning process for the next Seattle Public Schools capital levy. All are welcome to learn more about the long term plans for new buildings and renovations in the Queen Anne area. If you're looking for summer camp options for your kids, Kids Co. wanted to let you know that enrollment is open for summer: These buzzing furry friends are important for pollinating fruit trees. They're great for kids to observe because they don't sting. These special native bees require a special clay to protect their eggs. With the help of parents, students, teachers and staff our QAE community can help bees do the important jobs of pollination and growing future generations of bees. It's exciting to learn about the natural world around us! Please talk to your kiddos about the Mason Bee Hive. The Bees will be our guests until June. As part of Earth Week, the Fourth Grade IslandWood Fundraising Committee present QAE Family Movie Night. We'll be showing WALL-E! When: Friday, April 20th 6-8pm Where: The QAE Cafeteria! We’ll be viewing the movie picnic style so bring a comfy blanket! How: Cost is $20 per family and comes with popcorn. Pay cash or check at the door. We'll have pizza and beverage concessions on site ($3 for a slice and beverage of your choice). We'll also have a bake sale, hosted by the 4th graders, for all of your sweet and savory needs. Before we adventure off on Spring Break please bring in your clean and dry recyclables. There will be collection boxes near the entrance to the Tree House and Brick Buildings this week, April 1st-5th. These materials will be used at the Recycled Instruments Creation Station set up after school on Monday, April 16th. All students young and old are invited to create as we kick-off Earth Week, 2018. All grades, families and guests are welcome to join our 8th Annual QAE Day at the Sounders on May 20th. A portion of each ticket purchased is donated to QAE to help send this year's 4th graders go to IslandWood in the Fall. We'll be sitting as a group again and get a nice discount on tickets.
This year all orders are done by returning the order form along with check or cash. Hurry, please return your forms by Tuesday, April 3rd. If you don't have a copy of the order form, you can can download the form on the QAE Sounders page. NEW THIS YEAR: 20 lucky kids will get to watch the last 20 minutes of the match from the pitch!
