Location: QAE Cafeteria Dear Queen Anne community: Seattle voters approved the Seattle Public Schools Building Excellence IV (BEX IV) Capital Levy in February 2013, which includes the project to construct an addition to Queen Anne Elementary School. The meeting will be presented by representatives of Seattle Public Schools BEX IV capital projects team and Mahlum Architects and will include information about the project’s early design progress. You will be able to learn more about the project scope, schedule, existing conditions and design exploration. You will be able to ask questions and give us input and feedback. Ready for the end of the year? We are excited to celebrate the end of another fabulous year at Targy's on Saturday, June 18 starting at 7pm. This auction sign-up party still has spaces available. For just $35 you will enjoy unlimited drinks and fabulous food (catered in). So, book a sitter and come celebrate the end of yet another school year!

In response to the current and projected increased enrollment of Seattle Public Schools a task force is being formed to examine and prepare a set of recommendations to the superintendent for the purpose of being prepared for continued demands for future classroom space in our buildings at all levels.

The role of the task force is to gather, analyze, review, and consider information and data and to prepare a report to the Superintendent of Schools regarding Seattle Public Schools capacity issues. There is also another way you can tell us what you think: Take our web survey and let us know what you want our websites to look and feel like. This summer we will use your answers to plan. In the fall and winter we will ask you to help test the new websites, and then we will be ready to launch. SCREENAGERS probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including the director's own, and depicts messy struggles, over over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through surprising insights from authors and brain scientists solutions emerge on how we can empower kids to best navigate the digital world.
