Mr. Bailey and his 5th graders need newspapers asap! They start their "Newspaper House" project next week. Please drop off at his classroom in the treehouse, room T309. Thank you!  If you would like to be involved in the Fit for Life 5K/10K but would prefer not to run/walk please volunteer. We will need assistance in these critical areas: set-up, packet pick up, day of registration, course direction, water station, food service, clean up. Please contact Lee Scovern at 206-910-7272 for more information. Thank you.  This Sunday, May 31st is the Water 1st: Carry5 Walk for Water at the Seattle Center. Last year QAE was the largest and almost the top fundraising team. We are hoping to match that this year. We have had some incredibly compassionate and concerned 2nd graders help raise money for the cause! If you'd like to join us you can register online or in person on Sunday. When registering please select the QAE team. Registration is $10 online and $20 in person and includes a t-shirt. Please bring an empty jug that you will fill with water at the center fountain.  The PBL Showcase next Thursday, June 4th, 6:00-7:30pm. Hundreds of pieces of art and PBL projects will be displayed around the school! Please join students and staff in celebrating their hard work. The staff could use 5-10 more volunteers to help hang art work and display PBL projects. Please contact Amanda Amsel or Ileene Tanabe if you are available to help. Thank you!  For those of you who have incoming Kindergarteners, Jump Start is scheduled for the week of August 17-21. Jump Start will run for five consecutive half-days from approximately 9:00am-12:00pm.
