Queen Anne Elementary Opening at Lincoln in Wallingford in September 2010 Opening on Queen Anne in September 2011 Due to overcrowding in our north end schools a brand new school will be opening for this school year. This will not be a neighborhood assignment school but will be an option choice for any family in the Seattle Public Schools, however district transportation will be provided only for those children in the Queen Anne and Magnolia enrollment areas. We will be housed at Lincoln High School for the current school year, moving back to Queen Anne in the Old John Hay building on Boston Street the following year after renovation work. After much discussion and planning we have been given the go ahead to provide a focus on 21st Century Learning Skills with a technology enhanced curriculum. Our staff has been led through an Envisioning Workshop and attended the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference in Denver at the beginning of the summer. We are extremely excited to be starting this adventure of learning together with the families that are taking these first steps with us. If you are interested in learning more about this exciting opportunity and joining with us in pioneering this new school please visit our website for more information about our staff, our vision and links to sites we feel are informative or thought provoking. www.queenanneelementary.org.
