![]() Next Week: Cascade Bicycle Club’s Bike Unit! (2/7-3/4) Three weeks! Cascade will provide almost 30 BMX style bikes for the students. There are only a few small bikes for the younger riders. That’s why they can bring bikes and the older students don’t need to. See below for details on bikes to bring and/or share. Bring Helmets Everyday for the next three weeks! I need bikes to share for K-2. Balance bikes (kids just learning), bikes with training wheels, small (16 inch) bicycles. Do you have younger siblings that would be willing to share their bikes? K-2 students may bring bicycles to school for the unit. They need tape on them that lists student name, teacher name, if you are willing to share bike with other students, and a lock. Please consider sharing use of your bicycle so everyone has opportunities to practice skills. We will be working on bike safety, increasing student riding skills and improving some of the components of fitness. We may squeeze in some unicycle riding as well. Send me an email if you are interested in helping out during the next three weeks. blroberts@seattleschools.org Please also email any questions you might have. Thanks for helping your student remember their helmet! Brent Roberts Health and Fitness McDonald and Queen Anne Elementary @Lincoln HS 206.252.5949 This is your new blog post.
