Much more than a food drive
Here's an opportunity for your children to help our neighbors in need and see first hand how their donations can make a difference.
Theme of the drive: Healthy body, healthy mind
Collecting: Healthy snacks* and children’s book**
Drive period: March 3 – 21 (3 weeks)
Benefiting: QA Helpline
After the collection drive, we will have a special in service day on March 26th (after school – 2 hour early dismissal day).
We can support 25 kids to take part. Sign up here.
The in service work includes putting snack bags together and making thank you cards that could be used for donors. QA Helpline will also give students an introduction about their work.
Parents/Guardians should escort their kids over to QA Helpline after school. All grade levels are welcome.
*Healthy snacks are health bars, crackers, pretzels, fruit leather, dried fruit. No perishable.
**Children's books are for QA Helpline clients with kids. Their library is very low so any gently used or new books will be greatly appreciated. The books keep the kids busy while the parents meet with the staff.
Thank you for your support.
