As a result of messages from many PTSA groups and parents, SPS is hosting Community Meetings about proposed changes to the Student Assignment Plan. Attending a meeting is one of the most important things parents of Seattle Public Schools students can do is ensure School District administrators are as open, transparent, and inclusive as possible about district operations and planning.
It is our understanding that these proposed changes are now far less concerning than previously thought. See this link for a more detailed summary of what has transpired:

At the same time, we as a PTSA will continue to be involved in these kinds of discussions. These meetings will be a great opportunity to connect with other parents who want the same openness and transparency, and you are welcome to attend:
