Event: Collection of used small electronics for upcycle/recycle drive proceeds to benefit Coe Elementary
Date: This Sunday, April 10, 1:00-4:00 pm
Place: Queen Anne Avenue N & West Boston, in front of Starbucks
Kids from Coe Elementary will be on the top of Q.A. Hill in front of Starbucks this coming Sunday, April 10 from 1-4 p.m. to collect small-used electronics which will be refurbished, repaired, recycled, or parted with 70% of the proceeds going back to Coe. Coe along with McClure Middle School are taking part in the beta testing of Upcycle 4 Hope, a new non-profit dedicated to reducing electronic waste and putting technology and electronic parts into the hands of people who can use them and keeping them out of the landfills.
Stacy Lawson, Queen Anne mom and community volunteer says,
"I'd do this program even if it weren't a fundraiser. I think it will be humbling for kids and adults to see how many once desperately needed items become junk in a very short time."
